E-Bike Tour Through Fanes–Sennes–Braies Nature Park
A full-day e-bike journey into one of the most beautiful and peaceful landscapes of the Dolomites.
About the Tour
Join me to discover one of the most spectacular corners of the Dolomites without the effort of long, exhausting climbs.
With the assistance of an e-bike, we’ll travel deep into the Fanes–Sennes–Braies Nature Park, enjoying magnificent mountain scenery, fresh Alpine air and the peaceful atmosphere of one of the most beautiful protected areas in the Dolomites.
Our journey begins in the charming Alpine village of San Vigilio di Marebbe, one of the gateways to the nature park.
From the first kilometres, we follow wide forest roads alongside a mountain river, surrounded by dense spruce and larch forests.
As we ride deeper into the valley and gradually gain altitude, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic and spectacular Dolomite peaks appear around us.

Rifugio Fanes
One of our main stops will be the famous Rifugio Fanes, beautifully located on the high-altitude plateau.Here we can take a well-deserved break, enjoy a coffee or taste traditional local dishes while surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery.It is the perfect place to slow down and experience the special atmosphere of a traditional Dolomite mountain hut.
The Fanes Plateau
After our break, we’ll continue exploring one of the most fascinating high-altitude landscapes in the Dolomites.
The Fanes Plateau is known for its wide Alpine meadows, peaceful atmosphere and extraordinary connection with the legends and traditions of the Ladin people.
As we ride through this remarkable landscape, I’ll share stories about the area, its natural environment and the geological origins of the Dolomites, as well as some of the ancient Ladin legends associated with Fanes.
Wooden mountain huts, grazing cattle, open pastures and dramatic peaks create a landscape where traditional Alpine life and wilderness still exist side by side.
Our return takes us back along beautiful mountain and forest roads, with long, enjoyable downhill sections offering a completely different perspective on the landscapes we explored during the climb.
We’ll make additional stops at panoramic viewpoints along the way before returning to San Vigilio di Marebbe.

Experience Level
The route does not require advanced mountain-biking skills, but participants should already be comfortable riding a bicycle and be prepared to spend several hours in the saddle.
Because of the overall distance, a reasonable level of fitness and basic cycling experience are recommended, even with the assistance of an e-bike.
This tour is ideal for those who want to combine a full day of cycling with spectacular Dolomite landscapes, Ladin culture, mountain huts and the unique atmosphere of the Fanes high plateau.
