About the Tour

Discover one of the most spectacular high-altitude landscapes in the Dolomites on an e-bike adventure through the Fanes–Sennes–Braies Nature Park.

Thanks to the assistance of an e-bike, we can climb towards the magnificent Sennes Plateau while saving energy for what really matters — enjoying the extraordinary landscapes around us.

The route takes us deep into the mountains, reaching panoramic areas that would require considerably more time and effort to explore on foot.

Our journey begins at Malga Ra Stua, beautifully located between the Dolomiti d’Ampezzo and Fanes–Sennes–Braiesnature parks.

The first kilometres follow a wide gravel mountain road through peaceful coniferous forests and Alpine meadows.

As we gain altitude, the forest gradually opens and the dramatic rock walls of the Dolomites begin to dominate the landscape.

Climbing to Rifugio Sennes

As we approach the high plateau, the scenery changes completely.

The final part of the climb becomes steeper, but the assistance of an e-bike makes the ascent much more manageable. Once we reach the plateau, we are rewarded with some of the most beautiful views of the entire route.

Vast Alpine pastures stretch beneath the surrounding Dolomite peaks, creating the extraordinary sense of space and wilderness that makes Sennes such a special place.

At Rifugio Sennes, we’ll stop to rest, enjoy the mountain atmosphere and take in the panoramic views.

And there is another very good reason to stop here: we’ll have the opportunity to taste one of the hut’s famous homemade desserts before getting back on our bikes.

Our return follows a beautiful mountain road descending towards Malga Ra Stua.

We’ll stop at selected panoramic viewpoints along the way to take photographs and enjoy the views across the surrounding mountains and valleys.

A short section of the descent follows a series of mountain switchbacks and requires good bike control and careful riding.

For this reason, participants should already feel comfortable riding an e-bike on gravel roads and managing downhill sections.

Overall, however, the route is accessible to most recreational e-bike riders with reasonable cycling confidence.

This tour is a wonderful combination of e-biking, spectacular Dolomite scenery and the atmosphere of a remote high-altitude plateau — allowing you to explore deep into the mountains without the physical demands of a long uphill hike.
