A scenic hike beneath the dramatic Odle peaks, followed by a visit to one of the most iconic landscapes in the Dolomites.
The Adolf Munkel Trail is one of the most beautiful and accessible hikes in the Dolomites for those who want to experience the spectacular Odle/Geisler mountain group without taking on a demanding trek.
This panoramic hike of approximately 10 km takes us through peaceful forests, beautiful Alpine meadows and open viewpoints directly beneath the impressive rock walls and sharp peaks of the Odle.
The route is perfect for travelers who want to spend a relaxing day in the mountains, combining an enjoyable hike with spectacular scenery, plenty of time for photographs and a traditional lunch in a mountain hut.

The trail follows relatively easy terrain and requires no technical hiking experience, making it suitable for a wide range of participants.
It is a great choice for families with active children, couples, solo travelers and anyone who wants to experience the classic beauty of the Dolomites without a particularly demanding hike.
We’ll walk at a comfortable pace, with time to enjoy the landscape rather than simply focusing on reaching the destination.

One of the highlights of the day is stopping for lunch at a traditional mountain hut, surrounded by Alpine meadows and magnificent views of the Odle peaks.
Here, we can relax and enjoy typical mountain dishes such as homemade soups, canederli (South Tyrolean dumplings), pasta, local cheeses and traditional apple strudel.

In the afternoon, we’ll continue to Santa Maddalena in Val di Funes, home to one of the most iconic views in the Dolomites.
The picturesque church, surrounded by green meadows with the dramatic Odle peaks rising behind it, creates a landscape that has become one of the symbols of the region.
The scenery is particularly magical towards the end of the day, when the softer light transforms the mountains and the valley — a perfect way to finish our experience in one of the most beautiful corners of the Dolomites.
This day combines easy hiking, spectacular mountain scenery, traditional Alpine food and one of the most famous views in the Dolomites — an ideal introduction to the beauty of Val di Funes.
